Philosophy and purpose
In Europe old vehicles, which the Governments no longer approve for registration are sold to Eastern Europe or to Africa, in the USA to Mexico and to South America, and in Japan to the Philippines and other poor Asian countries, just as a "disposal" of waste.
However, worldwide the car makers are using aggressive marketing strategies and financial schemes to be able to sell new cars. So that the waist of old used cars becomes bigger from day to day, because the purpose of care makers is to sell and not to recycle old vehicles. However, also high wages make recycling in the first class world not feasible.
In the Philippines, where the majority of people can’t afford to buy a new car, this method is at the right place at the right time. That means that all intact parts of a used vehicle will be reused to build a new recycled vehicle. Virtually, anything is wrong because nothing is thrown away, and every part is waiting to be reused in a recycling workshop.
All our Cebu People Express MultiCabs, consists of Suzuki Mini-Trucks and were imported from Japan, where a car life is limited, by law, to five years. Thanks to this law, we are able to purchase relatively good parts.
